The Mavericks spent $3 million to purchase the draft rights to South Florida's Dominique Jones from the Memphis Grizzlies last night, and couldn't be happier about it. With the draft still taking place, Mavs owner Mark Cuban posted this message to his Twitter account:
We tried to trade into the top20 to get drones [sic], got lucky to get him 25
Head coach Rick Carlisle told reporters he's thrilled with Cuban's willingness to spend.
