2011 NFL Power Rankings, Week 7: Buccaneers Bounce Back After Win Over Saints

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a bounce back win over the New Orleans Saints, and that is reflected in their latest position in the SB Nation Power Rankings.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had taken a little bit of a tumble in the SB Nation 2011 NFL Power Rankings after that blowout they suffered at the hands of the San Fransisco 49ers two weeks ago, but after outlasting the Saints on Sunday, they have moved back into the top ten. They have moved up from No. 12 last week up to No. 9.

I'm prepared to hear from some Tampa Bay fans who want them ranked above the Saints, and I understand that. But I also remember the 48-3 stomping at the hands of the 49ers. They're on their way but they're not there yet.

I think they are right in this instance, top ten teams don't get blown out 48-3, no matter where or against who they are playing. But as we all know, the Bucs are a very young team so that inconsistency is to be expected. Unfortunately it is probably their youth that is preventing them from climbing up any higher in the rankings as well.
