Florida Vs. North Florida: Gators Blow Out North Florida 91-55

After a quick turnaround, the Florida Gators were able to bounce back from that tough loss to Ohio State on Tuesday with a very impressive 91-55 drubbing of North Florida on Thursday. According to Antonya English of the St. Petersburg Times, Florida guard Erving Walker actually thinks that the short turnaround helped the team focus on their next opponent.

“As a basketball player I think actually us playing again right away was good so it doesn’t linger with you,’’ said senior guard Erving Walker, who had 17 points, six rebounds and five assists. “You just want to get right back out there so you can forget about Ohio State. We’ve played another game now so that Ohio State feeling is gone. We wanted to win, but we also wanted to use it as a learning experience.’’

Due to foul trouble in their front line the Gators were forced to use a four guard lineup that included Erving Walker, Kenny Boynton, Mike Rosario and Brad Beal. It was incredibly effective in this game, but it may not work against bigger teams that will be able to exploit the matchups that kind of lineup creates.
