Victor Hedman had to leave the Lightning's game on Tuesday with what was being described as an upper-body injury, and now it appears as though the team will be without him when they take on the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, according to Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times. It is also possible that Hedman could miss even more games. Lightning coach Guy Boucher is hoping that Hedman will return sooner rather than later, and he's looking for a higher power to help make that happen.
"I'm going to church, going to light up some candles," Boucher quipped. "Hopefully it's not too long. He's a good player and we want him on the ice, but we want to be smart and are going to take the time that we need."
The Lightning will have Eric Brewer back in the lineup on Thursday after he had to sit out some time on Tuesday after being in a fight.
