The South Florida Bulls improved to 5-2 in the Big East on Sunday afternoon, defeating the conference's whipping boy DePaul in Chicago. The Bulls cruised to the win in the second half, putting a comfortable double digit lead and finishing off the Blue Demons 75-59. Augustus Gilchrist dominated on the interior, finishing with 22 points. Jawanza Poland added 19 off the bench, as the Bulls shot better than 55 percent from the floor.
The Blue Demons are the cellar dwellers of the conference on a yearly basis, so it was important for Stan Heath's club to capitalize on the opportunity and add a road win to their resume. The Bulls will continue their road trip to the Midwest with a game at Marquette on Tuesday night.
