USF vs. Lousiville 2012: Poor in-game decisions sink South Florida

The University of South Florida narrowly fell to No. 16 Louisville on Saturday, 27-25, after a series of missed opportunities.

The loss was the Bulls' fifth consecutive after the team opened the season with a pair of wins.

Jamie DeVriend of Voodoo Five feels like the team made enough plays to win:

The Bulls did play a good enough game to win. They kept the mistakes to a minimum. The offense was very good in the second half. The team played a good enough game to get the win and maybe send their season in a new direction.

DeVriend blames poor clock management and play calling for the team's loss. With the loss, South Florida fell to 2-5 on the season and 0-3 in Big East play.

South Florida led 25-21 with 3:09 left in the fourth quarter before giving up a game-winning eight-play, 75-yard drive to the Cardinals.

South Florida will attempt to end its five-game losing streak against Syracuse next weekend. Syracuse defeated Connecticut, 40-10, on Saturday to improve to 3-4 on the season.
