Florida vs. Georgia score: Sloppy 3rd quarter puts Gators in 10-6 hole

With control of the SEC East division up for grabs, the undefeated No. 2 Florida Gators continued their sloppy play in the third quarter and find themselves trailing the Georgia Bulldogs by the score of 10-6 after three quarters of play at EverBank Field.

After entering halftime down just 1 point, the Gators were completely dominated in the third quarter by the stout Bulldogs defense. Florida turned the ball over two more times in the third quarter and helped the Bulldogs score 3 more points.

Those points off the leg of Bulldogs kicker Marshall Morgan would be the only points scored in the quarter and they came after Gators sophomore quarterback Jeff Driskel threw his second interception of the game. Driskel has completed just 12 of 23 passes for 149 yards.

Despite five turnovers, the Gators find themselves down just 4 points with one quarter of play left. Will they be able to pull a comeback after playing from behind all game?

Florida vs. Georgia score: Gators enter halftime trailing 7-6

The No. 2 Florida Gators enter halftime trailing their SEC East rival Georgia Bulldogs, the No. 10 team in the nation, by the score of 7-6 at Everbank Field.

After being held scoreless in the first quarter by the Georgia defense, the Gators were able to score 6 in the second quarter thanks to a pair of successful field goals by kicker Caleb Sturgis.

After forcing Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray into throwing his third interception of the game, the undefeated Gators had an opportunity to enter halftime with a lead. However, a poor snap in the shotgun caused some confusion and quarterback Jeff Driskel was unable to hit a wide-open Trey Burton in the end zone.

It looked as if the Gators would enter halftime with a lead after the team found itself on the Georgia 5-yard line. But another miscue by Jeff Driskel, this time an interception, gave Georgia the ball back and the lead at halftime.

As expected, it has been a game dominated by both teams' defensive units, which have played extremely stout defense and made it a long first half for both quarterbacks. In fact, each team has forced three turnovers.

Florida vs. Georgia score: Fumbles put Gators behind 7-0 after 1st quarter

The No. 2 ranked Florida Gators find themselves trailing their SEC East rivals in the Georgia Bulldogs by the score of 7-0, after one quarter of play Everbank Field.

It has been a sloppy first quarter for the Gators, who have turned the ball over twice in the quarter alone. The first turnover came on the very first drive of the game, after sophomore quarterback Jeff Driskel was stripped sacked on the third play of the game.

The turnover gave the Bulldogs excellent field position in Florida's territory and they took advantage of it, as freshman running back Todd Gurley rushed for 10 yards and the score.

It was a sign of things to come for both teams, as turnovers have been common and the Bulldogs have been able to effectively run on the Gators defense.

Both teams know what is at stake in what is the biggest game of the year so far for both teams. A victory for Florida puts them in the SEC championship game, but they will need to comeback against a stout defense first.
