Florida's physical play against the LSU Tigers helped propel the Gators to a 14-6 victory on Saturday.

The Florida Gators have been one of college football's biggest surprises in 2012. The Gators are 5-0, and are now the No. 4 team in the country after upsetting the LSU Tigers.

Florida's physical play was one of the reasons that the Gators were able to pull off the upset and move to 5-0 on the season. Per the Gainsville Sun, Florida Gators head coach Will Muschamp is quite happy with his team's play at the line of scrimmage.

"The effort was outstanding," Muschamp said on his Sunday television show. "We played very physical on both lines of scrimmage. I'm really proud of our football team.

"We played really well on the line of scrimmage. We played a very physical, physical game."

UF's defensive front manhandled LSU's offensive line, holding a powerful LSU ground game to only 42 yards rushing and sacking quarterback Zach Mettenberger five times.

The Gators will have to continue their physical play, as they face off against Vanderbilt, No. 3 South Carolina, and No. 14 Georgia over the next three weeks.
