The Ospreys go for an upset win Monday night.
The North Florida Ospreys will try to pull off an upset when they tip off against the Memphis Tigers on Monday night. The Tigers, who have not played a game yet this season, are No. 17 in the AP Poll.
North Florida won its season-opener over Edward Waters, 79-65. Senior guard Parker Smith paced the Ospreys in that win, scoring 22 points thanks in large part to six three-pointers. Smith led North Florida in scoring last season while shooting 41 percent from three-point range. Travis Wallace was the only other player in double figures against Edward Waters.
The Ospreys are coming off a 16-16 season, while the Tigers were 26-9 a year ago.
Against Memphis, North Florida is expected to start Will Wilson, Jerron Granberry, Andy Diaz and David Jeune, in addition to Smith. This is the first-ever meeting between North Florida and Memphis.
