Richard Rowe-US PRESSWIRE

The Florida A&M Rattlers had a tough loss in Week 9, going down in overtime to South Carolina St. They'll try to bounce back on the road on Saturday against the tough defense of the North Carolina A&T Aggies.

The Florida A&M Rattlers face North Carolina A&T this Saturday in the midst of an up-and-down season, and nearly came close to winning two in a row after forcing overtime by rallying with 13 fourth-quarter points against South Carolina St. last week. SC St. struck quickly with a touchdown in overtime, and the Rattlers were unable to answer.

The Rattlers might have trouble moving the ball against the Aggies. N.C. A&T is ranked second among FCS teams in total defense, yielding only 279 yards per game. That's a far cry from A&M's 49th-place ranking and 360 yards per game. The Rattlers do have a slight advantage on offense, averaging 377 yards per game to to North Carolina A&T's 313. The two teams are both plus-3 in the turnover margin, but NCA&Tas both given and taken it away eight more times than Florida A&M.

FAMU quarterback Damien Fleming is reportedly questionable for Saturday's game. He left the game late in the loss to South Carolina St., with senior backup Tyler Bass entering the game and going 8 for 12 for 99 yards.
