Stay connected for news and updates

The Central Florida Knights are leading the SMU Mustangs 21-10 at halftime, powered by two touchdowns and over 100 rushing yards by running back Latavius Murray.

UCF opened the scoring midway through the first quarter when Blake Bortles connected with Rannell Hall for a 22 yard touchdown pass. SMU got on the board with a field goal, but Murray put the Knights up 14-3 at the start of the second quarter. Garrett Gilbert put the Mustangs back within a score with a short touchdown run, but Murray scored again on a 20 yard run with three minutes remaining before the half to make it 21-10.

Bortles is 5-9 for 60 yards and a touchdown, and Murray has 116 rushing yards on 15 carries and two touchdowns. Hall only has one catch, but that 22 yard touchdown catch is enough for him to lead the team in receiving yards.

Gilbert is 9-of-19 for 69 yards for SMU. Zach Line is leading the way rushing with 52 yards on 12 carries, and Darius Johnson has 40 yards to lead the receivers.
