The Tampa Bay Buccaneers try to win for the third time in four weeks against the Oakland Raiders Sunday.
Before the win at Minnesota, Tampa Bay (3-4) had lost three of its previous four games. But against the Vikings, Josh Freeman threw for three touchdowns without an interception, and running back Doug Martin gained 135 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries. The Buccaneer defense held the Vikings to 369 yards and forced three turnovers.
Oakland (3-4) has won two in a row, but those victories have come against Jacksonville and Kansas City, who have a 2-13 combined record. In three games since their bye, the Raiders have averaged 24.0 points per game, compared to 16.8 in four games before the week off. Oakland's defense has improved, too. Since the bye, the Raiders are allowing 20.7 points per game. Oakland gave up 31.3 points per contest in Weeks 1-4.
