The Miami Heat, behind a strong first quarter from Chris Bosh, lead the Orlando Magic by a narrow margin going into halftime of Sunday 's contest, 50-47.
Bosh has 18 points, and started the game 6 for 6 including five consecutive shots in the first quarter. Bosh continually forced the issue against the likes of Ryan Anderson and Hedo Turkoglu, mixing in a series of left handed hook shots that seemed almost unguardable. Dwyane Wade has 13 points and LeBron James largely struggled in the first half, making only two of the seven shots he attempted; he has 9 points.
The Orlando Magic outscored the Heat by 6 in the second quarter to get back in the game. Behind Dwight Howard's 12 points, and a combined 15 points from Jameer Nelson and Jason Richardson (both who shot 3 for 8), the Magic overcame a lead that was seemingly growing larger without end in sight.
Of note, the Heat only have 4 points from the bench thus far in the contest. With reserve Mike Miller still sidelined with an injury, the Heat bench has struggled.
