2012 Tavistock Cup Recap: Retief Goosen, Ross Fisher Lead Team Lake Nona To Victory

Behind strong play from Retief Goosen and Ross Risher in Round 2, team Lake Nona was able to wrap up the Tavistock Cup Championship on Tuesday.

Team Lake Nona was made up of Goosen, Fisher, Ben Curtis, Peter Hanson, Gary Woodland and Graeme McDowell. Goosen and Fisher each shot -5 under par on Tuesday, which is the main reason Lake Nona was able to pull out the win. This team was considered a long shot entering the tournament, but the format of the tournament was unique enough to level the playing field. While Lake Nona didn't have the biggest names in the tournament (looking in your direction Team Albany) they played the best over these two days.

The Tavistock doesn't count for anything in the FedEx cup, except these six guys will have some sort of brag gin rights over the rest of the teams for the rest of the year.
