Stay connected for news and updates

Tiger Woods has come back to win his first PGA Tour event since 2009, as he was able to succesfully close out a win in the 2012 Arnold Palmer Classic, winning by five strokes.

Woods entered the day with a two stroke lead over Graeme McDowell entering the final day of competition, and was able play a steady round to secure the win. Taking advantage of McDowell shooting a plus-2 on the day, Woods shot a minus-2 while playing a conservative game and making shots when he needed to.

This is the 72nd career PGA Tour victory for Woods and his first since the BMW Championship in September 2009.

Woods will look to carry the momentum over to the Master's two weeks from now.
