2012 Sony Ericsson Open: Rafa Nadal Advances, Novak Djokovic Back in Action

Wednesday saw the first four games of the Quarterfinals in the 2012 Sony Ericsson Open in each draw played, The men will play another two quarterfinal matches on Thursday while the women will start semi-final play. On Wednesday Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Agnieszka Radwanska advance. The big upset was No. 7 seed Marion Bartoli over the Tournament's No. 1 seed Victoria Azarenka.

The No 1 seed in the men's bracket Novak Djokovich will be in action on Thursday to take on the No. 5 seed David Ferrer. The top-seeded American still in the draw Mardy Fish will take on Juan Monaco in the other quarterfinal on Thursday.

The women will play two semi-final matches on Thursday, which means that Marion Bartoli and Agnieszka are back in action for the second straight day. Perhaps the best match of the day, Maria Sharapova and Caroline Wozniacki. That match starts at 1 pm, while the other three matches are all TBA.
