8 p.m.: No. 2 Norfolk State vs. No. 10 Howard
Thursday
6 p.m.: No. 3 Delaware State vs. No. 11 Florida A&M
8 p.m.: No. 5 North Carolina Central vs. No. 4 Bethune-Cookman
The winner of Norfolk/Howard will go on to face the winner of NCCU/Bethune-Cookman in the semifinals, while the winning of Savannah/Hampton will face the winner of Delaware/Florida. The semifinals are set for Friday night, and the finals on Saturday.
Florida A&M completed the biggest upset of the first round last night, beating No. 6 Coppin State 74-72 after trailing by 15 points at one point in the game. They will have an uphill battle ahead of them against No. 3 Delaware State, but if nothing else, it was a good accomplishment for the Rattlers to get past the first round.
