Lightning And Capitals Scoreless After First

Stay connected for news and updates

The first period was a dismal one for Tampa Bay, who only registered five shots on goal. The Lightning had two power play chances in the first period but did not generate many quality scoring opportunities and spent too much time in its own zone.

Washington only had seven shots on Dwayne Roloson, so neither team had many offensive chances in the first frame.
