The Miami Marlins and the Washington Nationals are two trendy picks to win the NL East, they'll meet this weekend in Nation's Capital.
The Miami Marlins are coming off an impressive series against the Chicago Cubs in Miami, but now they have to hit the road to face one of the most surprising teams so far in the National league. They kick off a weekend set with the Nationals on Friday night. The game starts at 7:05 and can be found on Fox Sports Florida.
The first game of this series features a pretty juicy pitching matchup in Carlos Zambrano and Ross Detwiler. We know what Zambrano brings to the table, but Detwiler has been a pretty big surprise so far in Washington. He was a surprise addition to the rotation late in Spring Training, and while he has just a 1-0 record, his ERA is a stingy 0.90. There will be some great match ups later in the series as well, but Friday's is nothing to sneeze at.
We'll have plenty more on this series throughout the weekend here on SB Nation Tampa Bay, so keep it locked to this StoryStream for all of the latest news and updates.
