2012 Players Championship Scoring Update: Ian Poultier And Blake Adams Pace The Field At Sawgrass

American Blake Adams currently has the lead in the clubhouse at the 2012 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla but Englishman Ian Poultier is seven-under through 17 holes. Adams finished his first round with six-under 66 to give him the early edge over the rest of the field before Poultier took the lead.

American Kevin Na is right behind him after shooting a five-under 67. Michael Thompson and Harrison Frazar are both tied with a four-under 68. Four other golfers are tied at three-under, including Irishman Padraig Harrington.

Other golfers near the lead that have rounds still in progress are Sean O'Hair at five-under through 15 and Matt Kuchar at four-under through 17.

Other notable golfers in progress include both Hunter Mahan and Tiger Woods both at two-over near the end of their rounds.
