The Rays take on the Mets for the first time since 2009.
While the Tampa Bay Rays (35-25) are currently tied with the New York Yankees for first place in the American League East, they'll be hosting another New York team as the Mets come to town for a three-game series. The Mets (32-29) are tied for third in the National League East with the Miami Marlins.
Alex Cobb (2-2, 4.13 ERA) will start for the Rays, while Chris Young (0-0, 3.60) will make only his second start of the year for the Mets. Tampa Bay is looking to win its fifth straight game, while New York has lost six of its last seven. The two sides last met in June of 2009, when the Rays took two of three from the Mets.
The game is scheduled to begin at 7:10 p.m., and it will be televised on Sun Sports.
