The shoplifting charges against freshman infielder John Holland were dropped today, according to a tweet by Omaha news anchor Jim Siedlecki. The tweet also stated that Holland is still with the team in Omaha.

Holland, who started 16 games for the Seminoles this season, hitting .243 with eight doubles and 10 RBIs, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of switching price tags on items at a sporting goods store in Village Pointe, in Omaha in order to purchase the items at a lower price.

Holland started in both of the Seminoles' College World Series games as the designated hitter, going 1-for-5 with two RBIs in the loss to Arizona and 0-for-1 with two walks and two runs scored in the victory over Stony Brook.
