Zambrano went 7.2 innings, allowing just four hits and two walks while allowing one run and striking out seven. He also helped to jump-start the offense with a solo home run in the top of the third that opened the scoring. In the fourth, Hanley Ramirez crushed a home run to make the score 2-0.
Miami broke the game open in the seventh thanks to Jose Reyes coming through with a two-run double with the bases loaded. Zambrano would score shortly after on a wild pitch to make the score 5-0. The Phillies picked up their lone run of the game in the eighth when Juan Pierre singled home a run.
For the Phillies, Joe Blanton took the loss on the hill, allowing five runs in six innings on nine hits.
