The Tampa Bay Rays were beat up by the New York Yankees in the first game of the series 7-0, but weren't able to rebound in the second game on Wednesday evening. Mark Teixeira put a run on the scoreboard to get things started with a solo home run in the second inning. Robinson Cano added a solo shot of his own two innings later giving the Yankees a 2-0 lead they'd eventually turn into a 4-0 lead later in the game.

The Rays bats were once again cold, picking up just four hits on the night, two of which came in the final inning, and scoring their only run of the evening in the top of the ninth inning on a B.J. Upton triple. The Rays hope to rebound in the final game of the series on Thursday.
