The Florida State Seminoles (46-15) swept regional play to advance to the Super Regional, where they'll host fellow No. 1 seed the Stanford Cardinal (39-16). The Seminoles knocked off Samford twice to win their regional, while Stanford -- also undefeated in regional play -- did the same to Pepperdine.
The first game is on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. It's a best-of-three series -- like all Super Regionals -- with the winner heading to Omaha to take part in the College World Series. The two schools are 9-9 against each other all time. They last met in the 2008 College World Series, with Stanford taking the win, 16-5, thanks to 11 runs in the ninth inning. All games in the Tallahassee Super Regional will be shown on ESPN2.
Here's the full schedule for the Tallahassee Super Regional:
June 8, 7:00 p.m.: Stanford Vs. Florida State
June 9, 6:00 p.m.: Florida State Vs. Stanford
June 10, 7:00 p.m.: Coin flip decides home/away (if necessary)
