Marlins Vs. Pirates: Miami Trails By Four Runs After Five Innings

In the top of the second inning, while trailing 1-0, the Miami Marlins' Justin Ruggiano launched a solo home run to right field to tie the score at one. But since, the Marlins have surrendered four more runs, and after five innings at PNC Park, they trail the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 5-1.

The Pirates grabbed their four-run lead all in the fourth inning. Since, Miami starter Carlos Zambrano has been taken out of the game following 97 pitches over the course of just three and one-third inning. He has been replaced by Chad Gaudin, who struck out three batters over one and two-thirds inning.

The Marlins dropped the series opener on Friday night by a score of 4-3.
