Struggling Miami Marlins outfielder Logan Morrison may be out for the season with a torn tendon in his left knee.
A rough patch of the 2012 season for Miami Marlins outfielder Logan Morrison just got rougher, as the struggling slugger was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a torn patellar tendon in his left knee, as reported by Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald. What's worse, is that the injury could mean surgery, and bring an end to Morrison's season.
Morrison has been struggling tremendously as of late, hitting just .120 since July 13, so this injury may be the cause of his woes at the plate. The most interesting aspect of this is the fact that Morrison had known about the injury back in May after an MRI was performed, but he continued to play. It appears that the injury has gotten to the point that he can't play anymore on it.
