Vincent Jackson is a risky pick in fantasy football this year, but he could provide big dividends to owners who gamble on him.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added a new wide receiver over the offseason, and one who could be a difference-maker for the Buccaneers, in the form of Vincent Jackson.

Jackson has enjoyed quite a bit of success as a member of the Chargers, exceeding 1,097 yards receiving in three of the last four seasons, with the off-year coming in 2010, when Jackson played in just five games. Consequently, Jackson has consistently been a dangerous fantasy wide receiver.

That tune could change in 2012, however. Jackson's success has been enabled by having a very good quarterback in Philip Rivers throwing him the football, as well as an excellent tight end in Antonio Gates. There's no guarantee that Jackson and Josh Freeman will develop a rapport immediately.

Consequently, FakeTeams.com, SB Nation's fantasy blog, ranks Jackson as the No. 29 wide receiver this year, which means he's a WR2, or WR3, depending on how deep your league is. Certainly, there's some upside, and Jackson's numbers could easily surpass those ranked ahead of him, I'm looking at you Torrey Smith and Stevie Johnson, but there is some risk to Jackson this year.

Fellow Buccaneer Mike Williams is ranked as the No. 43 wide receiver, which makes him worthy of a flex or bench spot, depending on how deep your league is, but he's certainly not somebody who should be counted on for a big role on your fantasy team in 2012.
