Keith Clanton To Return To UCF Basketball Despite Sanctions, Marcus Jordan Leaving Team

Keith Clanton, who considered transferring in the wake of the NCAA sanctions for Central Florida's men's basketball team, will return to UCF for the 2012-13 season.

Clanton led the Knights in scoring and rebounding in the 2011-12 season, scoring 14.5 points and pulling down 8.1 rebounds per game for a team that fell to Drexel in the first round of the 2012 NIT. With UCF ineligible for the postseason in 2012-13, Clanton could have transferred to another school to take a swing at playing in the NCAA Tournament. Instead, he'll stay in Orlando.

But Marcus Jordan, maybe the most celebrated Knight in the history of the school's basketball program, will reportedly not play in 2012-13. Jordan, son of Michael Jordan, was second to Clanton with 13.7 points per contest in 2011-12, and will be staying at Central Florida to take classes.
