Miami Heat Free Agency 2012: Team Works Out Josh Harrellson

Stay connected for news and updates

While the Miami Heat's roster for the 2012-2013 season is pretty much set, the team is still exploring their options at the backup center position:

Miami turned the tide of the 2012 NBA Finals in Game 2, when Chris Bosh played at the 5 and LeBron James at the 4 as part of a super small-ball lineup.

However, if the Heat ran into Dwight Howard or Andrew Bynum in next year's playoffs, they would need some more bulk at the center position.

Harrellson, a former New York Knick, certainly has that at 6'10 and 275 pounds. He's not the most athletic player in the world, but he does possess a three-point stroke (20-59 as a rookie), which is an interesting weapon for a center.
