Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris will coach against his former team as a position coach for the Washington Redskins.
Raheem Morris, now the defensive backs coach for the Washington Redskins, will coach against the team he used to coach on Wednesday. Morris was coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three seasons.
When asked about his experiences in Tampa Bay, Morris had no ill-will towards the Glazers or the Buccaneers organization. Specifically when asked about the signings the Buccaneers made this offseason of such high-priced players like Vincent Jackson and Eric Wright.
I've got no ill will toward anybody for not signing a free agent or signing one. It's a timing thing. I wasn't my time. We didn't go out and get the free agents. We wanted to build through the draft.
Morris gave compliments to new Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano and believes that he could succeed in the NFL. The Redskins and the Buccaneers will play each other again in week four of the regular season.
