American runner Sanya Richards-Ross is headed to the finals of the women's 400 meters.

Richards-Ross, the wife of Jacksonville Jagurs cornerback Aaron Ross who was on hand to watch his first Olympics, won her semifinal heat on Saturday.

A two-time gold medalist in the 4x400 meters, Richards-Ross will compete in the finals on Sunday.

Ross left the Jaguars' training camp Friday and arrived early Saturday morning to make it in time for the race.

"He's here. He's almost on the front row," she told the Associated Press. "I saw him when I came off (the track), sitting with my mom and dad and my cousin. It's really, really great to see him before I started to compete. We saw each other. I blew him a kiss, so he definitely saw me."
