Christie Rampone, a Ft. Lauderdale, FL native and the captain of the 2012 Women's U.S. Olympic team, sat down with Amy K. Nelson of SB Nation to talk a bit about the 2012 Summer Games. Rampone and the rest of the women's Olympic team play for the gold medal on Thursday afternoon in a re-match with Japan, the team who knocked them out of the World Cup.

Rampone sat down with Nelson to talk about the rematch with Japan and their disappointing loss to Japan in the Women's World Cup. Rampone says that that loss is something the team still thinks about and drives the team to want to beat Japan and win the gold medal.
