Giants Vs. Jaguars: Blaine Gabbert To Take 17-20 Snaps

Stay connected for news and updates

Speaking to Jacksonville media on Thursday, Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey set some expectations for Blaine Gabbert's play time during Friday's preseason game against the New York Giants. Mularkey told media members to expect Gabbert to play somewhere between 17 to 20 snaps on Friday.

The expectation is a reasonable amount for the second year starting quarterback who is set to debut following a less than stellar rookie season.

Mularkey also talked with the media about his solution for the sudden rash of injuries at the left guard position that has left them thin at the position. Right tackle Eben Britton will move to the left guard spot, while second year offensive tackle Cameron Bradfield will fill Britton's void on the right side of the offensive line.

Friday's game at Everbank Field is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
