UCF was stunned by upstart FIU in Miami last year and looks revenge in their home opener.

The burgeoning "Battle Of The Turnpike" between UCF and FIU is ready for its second chapter, a year after the Panthers used turnovers to spark a 17-10 upset in Miami. This year's game shifts to Orlando, where UCF has only three losses in the last three years.

There are over 70 players from the central and southern areas of Florida on the two rosters, creating one of the most homegrown affairs of any college football match-up this season. UCF has looked dominant on the ground, rushing for 309 yards so far this season, but FIU's defense has excelled in stopping the run, averaging 3.39 yards a carry.
