Miami Hurricanes linebacker Denzel Perryman is reported to be out of Saturday's game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with a bad ankle injury.

The Miami Hurricanes could be entering Saturday's game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets without linebacker Denzel Perryman. The sophomore has what is described as a "deeply bruised high ankle sprain" and while he will be reevaluated later in the week, he will likely not man the defensive middle against the Yellow Jackets.

The 7th Floor talked about how this will effect the Hurricanes roster-wise against the Yellow Jackets.

The loss of Perryman, as we discussed yesterday, could be crippling. Jimmy Gaines will likely start at middle linebacker next week, according to Navarro. To his left will be Eddie Johnson. The other starting linebacker will be Gionni Paul, Thurston Ambrister or Tyrone Cornelius, though all three will play either way.

Going against one of the top running attacks in college football, this injury to Perryman could be a deciding factor against the Yellow Jackets.
