Quarterback Blaine Gabbert, defensive end Austen Lane and cornerback Derek Cox practiced for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday. Gabbert was a full participant, while Lane and Cox were limited. According to Big Cat Country, Lane has a good chance of playing in Jacksonville's Week 3 game against Indianapolis. Gabbert is expected to start at quarterback after suffering an injury in Week 2.
The injury news was not all positive for Jacksonville, however. Five Jaguars sat out Wednesday's practice, including running back Rashad Jennings, and offensive linemen Cameron Bradfield and Eben Britton. Those three have been unavailable since suffering injuries in a Week 1 loss at Minnesota. Defensive end George Selvie and linebacker Daryl Smith also sat out Wednesday's practice. Smith, Bradfield and Britton remain atop the Jacksonville depth chart.
The Jaguars will look for their first win of the season this Sunday in Indianapolis. Game time is 1 p.m. ET.
