Florida Vs. Texas A&M: Will Muschamp Undecided On Starting QB

Jeff Driskel completed nearly two-thirds of his passes Saturday and led the Gators to 20 of their 27 points, but UF coach Will Muschamp says the job is not his just yet.

Despite Jeff Driskel's solid and efficient performance Saturday against Bowling Green, Florida coach Will Muschamp said he's still unsure who will start next Saturday's SEC opener against Texas A&M, according to ESPN's GatorNation.

Driskel finished 10-of-16 for 114 yards and a long touchdown pass to Frankie Hammond, Jr. in Saturday's 27-14 win. Florida scored 20 of its 27 points with the sophomore on the field, and Driskel played a large majority of the snaps.

ESPN's Michael DiRocco says Driskel is a more mobile quarterback than Jacoby Brissett and that will be a benefit behind the Gators' leaky offensive line. Driskel played the entire second half, which Muschamp said was simply because of the game's flow:

"I felt like the rhythm of the game dictated that we were going to need some pocket movement as far as some boots (bootlegs) and nakeds (naked bootlegs) and moving the pocket and I felt like that Jeff gave us better opportunities," Muschamp said.

Right or wrong, Driskel and Brissett may both get the chance to prove themselves in a hostile College Station environment Saturday.
