Jaguars Defense Wants To Get Back To Stopping The Run

Stay connected for news and updates

The Jacksonville Jaguars defense pride themselves on their ability to stop the run. After giving up 216 rushing yards in a loss to the Texans last week, Jaguars players were upset and wanted to get back to basics.

Defensive tackle Tyson Alualu was adamant about the defense's goal:

"Every game we go into, our No. 1 priority is to stop the run," said defensive tackle Tyson Alualu.

Thankfully for Jacksonville, their upcoming opponent, the Indianapolis Colts, are 29th in the NFL in rushing at only 73.5 yards per game. However, the Jaguars themselves are 31st in the league in stopping the run, so players aren't taking the Colts lightly.

Linebacker Paul Posluszny was quick to compliment Colts running back Donald Brown:

"Thirty-one [Brown] is a stud. We like their running back. He’s running the ball really well," he said.
