James Owens and the Florida A&M Rattlers will try to move to 2-0 in MEAC play Saturday against Delaware State.

The Florida A&M Rattlers will try to move to 2-0 early in the MEAC schedule Saturday as they travel to take on the Delaware State Hornets.

The Rattlers opened their conference schedule last week with a commanding 44-20 win over Hampton. In that game, running back James Owens rushed for 157 yards and three scores on 11 carries, including an 81-yard touchdown run. Owens ranks seventh in FCS with an average of 184.67 all-purpose yards per game.

Delaware State is coming off an impressive showing at Cincinnati, a 23-7 loss to the Big East opponent. It was a game that the Hornets could have won; Cincinnati had six turnovers.

Hornets wide receiver Travis Tarpley is first in the MEAC with 6.3 receptions per game so far this year.

The game kicks off at Delaware State's Alumni Stadium on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET. An audio stream is available at sfmsports.net.
