Clemson Vs. Florida State Score Update: Seminoles Trail, 21-14, After Wild First Half

It's been a wild, back and forth affair in Tallahassee so far, and the Clemson Tigers have a 21-14 lead over the Florida State Seminoles at halftime. Florida State was in position to tie the game right before halftime. However, poor clock management made the Seminoles settle for a field goal, which Dustin Hopkins missed wide left from 37 yards.

The Florida State defense, which had been giving up an average of one (1) point per game before this, has had to adjust to the speed of the Clemson skill players, sometimes with mixed results. Both teams have over 250 yards of total offense in the first half.

Tajh Boyd has 146 yards passing and two touchdowns in the first half, but Florida State has contained Clemson's running game, for the most part. Andre Ellington leads the Tigers with 38 yards on 9 carries and a touchdown.

E.J. Manuel has been efficient and accurate, going 15-20 for 181 yards, in addition to his 53 rushing yards. Lonnie Pryor and James Wilder Jr. each have a rushing touchdown to their credit.

Florida State will have the ball to start the second half.
