Bethune-Cookman resumes conference play with a trip to Hampton.
The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats will look to improve to 2-0 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play, when they face the Hampton Pirates on Saturday. The Wildcats are 2-2 overall this year, with wins over Alabama State and South Carolina State and losses to Miami (FL) and Tennessee State. The Pirates have yet to break into the win column in 2012, and sit at 0-3 overall.
Bethune-Cookman ranks just 52nd in the FCS in total offense, but the team is 13th in rushing yards per game. The Wildcats will likely try to get that ground game going early against a Hampton defense that has been poor in most areas so far this season. The Pirates are No. 102 in total defense, and their offense hasn't been a whole lot better.
Bethune-Cookman won the 2011 meeting between these teams, 35-31.
Game Time & Date: 6 p.m. ET, Saturday, Sept. 29
