As Tampa Bay has been fighting for a wild card spot down the stretch -- the Rays are currently sit three games behind the Oakland Athletics for the final postseason bid -- Molina has become the team's everyday catcher. The 12-year pro had played in 99 games and recorded 32 RBIs.
"I really don't know," Molina told The Tampa Bay Times. "We'll see how it feels [today]. I really don't know if I'll be out one or two or three or five or eight days. We'll see."
The Rays have seven games left on their schedule.
"That was unfortunate," manager Joe Maddon told The Tampa Bay Times. "He's really playing his best baseball of the year."
