The Miami Hurricanes have jumped out to an early 23-7 lead over the visiting North Carolina State Wolfpack on Saturday after one quarter of play.
Hurricanes quarterback Stephen Morris has been phenomenal in the first quarter, completing 12 of 16 throws for 271 yards and three touchdowns, with one interception. As a team, Miami rolled up 304 yards and 10 first downs in the quarter.
The Miami defense also chipped in, scoring a safety midway through the quarter after Wolfpack quarterback Mike Glennon had a snap sail over his head in the end zone, then getting sacked for the safety.
North Carolina State actually scored first in the game, taking a 7-0 lead on a Tony Creecy one-yard touchdown run.
