With the 2012 season opener against the Texans just five days away, Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin can see that his team needs quite a bit of improvement. Philbin said he hopes the team is better by the end of the year than it is now.
Philbin: "What I really hope is the Miami Dolphins in 2012 are a lot different in December than they are in September."— Adam Beasley (@AdamHBeasley) September 5, 2012
Of course, for better or worse, the Dolphins will be at least a little different by then. Rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill will have several weeks under his belt as an NFL starter. While the receiving corp may not be any better, the Dolphins will better know what they have at the position.
There is still a lot to learn about the Dolphins.
