Magic vs. Wizards: Game preview, tipoff time, TV schedule and more

The Orlando Magic will try to win their fourth consecutive game when they host the Washington Wizards Wednesday night. In Orlando's most recent victory, they rallied from a 15-point deficit to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night, improving their record to 11-13. Despite Jordan Crawford's triple double (27 points, 11 rebounds & 11 assists) Tuesday night, the Wizards were defeated by the Atlanta Hawks in overtime, dropping their record to 3-19.

The Wizards, of course, have been without former first overall pick John Wall all season. Wall, who played in every game last season, averaging 16.3 points, 8.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game, is out with a knee injury. Former Florida Gator Bradley Beal is averaging 12.5 points per game in his rookie reason while former Florida State standout Chris Singleton is putting up 5.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

Magic vs. Timberwolves: Game preview, tipoff time, TV schedule and more

After defeating the Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Bobcats over the weekend, the Orlando Magic will look to make it three in a row when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night. The Magic improved their record to 10-13 with those two victories while the Wolves have won four straight, including an overtime victory over the Dallas Mavericks Saturday, to improve their record to 12-9.

These two teams met back on November 7 in Minneapolis. The Wolves dominated the first quarter en route to a 90-75 victory. Luke Ridnour lead the way with the 19 points.

Point guard Ricky Rubio made his season debut in Saturday's victory over the Mavericks. Rubio had eight points, nine assists, four rebounds and three steals in just 18 minutes.

Magic vs. Warriors: Game preview, tipoff time, TV schedule and more

Looking to rebound from another loss to the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday night, the Orlando Magic will host the red-hot Golden State Warriors Friday night. The Magic fell to 8-13 with their loss Wednesday night. The Warriors are coming off of a 97-95 win over the Miami Heat and five straight games to push their record to 15-7.

These two teams met at the Oracle Arena in Oakland on December 12. The Magic played a dominate fourth quarter en route to a 102-94 victory. Glen Davis and Arron Afflalo each scored 24 points to lead the Magic. Stephen Curry led all scorers with 25 points.

Magic vs. Hawks: Game preview, tipoff time, TV schedule and more

The Orlando Magic will return home after a successful west coast trip (3-2) to take on the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday night. The Magic improved their record to 8-12 during the trip. The Hawks, despite trading Joe Johnson this offseason, are off to an excellent start, posting a 12-6 record. The Hawks were last in action Wednesday when they fell to the Heat in Miami 101-92.

The Hawks, who had won nine out of 10 before being taken down by the Heat Wednesday, are led by forward Josh Smith, who is averaging 17.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game this season. Former Florida Gator big man Al Horford is averaging 16.8 points and 10.0 rebounds per game while former 76ers guard and Atlanta-native Lou Williams is averaging 14.0 points per game off of the bench.

Magic take down Suns 98-90

After losing the lead they built in the first half midway through the third quarter, the Orlando Magic battled back, outscoring the Suns 37-23 from the 3:44 mark of the third quarter on en route to a 98-90 victory. The Magic finished their west coast road trip with a record of 3-2 and improved their overall record to 8-12. The Suns lost for the seventh straight time and are now just 8-15.

The Magic wound up shooting 51.9% (40-of-77) from the field to the Suns' 46.2% (36-of-78) and dominated the glass, outrebounding the Suns 44-29. '/

J.J. Redick had just three points in the second half, but still led all scorers with 20 points. He also dished out a game-high nine assists. Reserve point guard E'Twaun Moore scored 10 points while rookie Andrew Nicholson had a career-high 18 points and nine rebounds, including a dagger of a jumper that pushed Orlando's lead to seven with just 1:50 to play.

Shannon Brown led the Suns with 17 points on six-of-16 shooting.

The Magic will return home to take on the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday.

Magic lead Suns 53-48 at the half

Despite getting off to another poor start (Phoenix scored 13 of the game's first 17 points), the Orlando Magic lead the Phoenix Suns 53-48 at halftime at the US Airways Arena.

Orlando shot 48.8% from the field (21-of-43), 44.4% from the three point line (four-of-nine) and 87.5% from the charity stripe (seven-of-eight). Phoenix shot 52.6% from the floor (20-of-38), but went just 12.5% from beyond the arc (one-of-eight) and 63.6% from the stripe (seven-of-11).

J.J. Redick scored 17 points on five-of-10 shooting off of the bench for the Magic. Redick was three-of-six from beyond the arc and a perfect four-of-four from the free throw line. He also has three assists, two rebounds and two styles in just nine minutes.

E'Twaun Moore had seven points on three-of-six shooting while rookie Andrew Nicholson had six points and five rebounds, giving the Magic's bench a 30-20 advantage in the game.

Former Magic center Marcin Gortat had eight points, four rebounds and two blocks to lead the Suns.

The Magic will finish their five game road trip with a game against the Suns on Sunday night.

The Orlando Magic will finish their west coast road trip Sunday night when they take on the Phoenix Suns at the US Airways Center. The Magic started the road trip with victories over the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, but then dropped consecutive contests with the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings. They enter with a record of just 7-12. The Suns lost to the Los Angeles Clippers Saturday for their sixth straight defeat. They enter with a record of 7-14.

These two teams met in Orlando back on Nov. 4. Orlando scored 69 second half points en route to a 115-94 victory. J.J. Redick led the way with 24 points.

Phoenix is led by point guard Goran Dragic, who is averaging 15.1 points and 6.4 assists per game. Former Magic big man Marcin Gortat is averaging just 11.0 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, a far cry from the 15.4 points and 10.0 rebounds he averaged last season.
