UCF is set to hire a new athletic director who will have to hit the ground running.
Per a press release from the Central Florida Knights, the school is set to announce Todd Stansbury as its new Athletic Director today at 2pm. Stansbury will leave his position as the executive associate athletic director at Oregon State to take this position.
Stansbury's hire comes just 63 days after the dismissal of Keith Tribble for his involvement in the ongoing NCAA investigation into potential recruiting violations involving both the football and the basketball program. Stansbury's selection comes after extensive work with a the Parker Executive Search firm to find the most qualified candidate to step into the tenuous situation that exist at UCF while the school remains under investigation.
Stansbury has also worked at Houston, East Tennessee State, and has careers both on and off the field at Georgia Tech, the latter of which overlapped with George O'Leary's coaching tenure at the school.
