Gamecock defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has caused nightmares for opposing offenses all season. Florida head coach Will Muschamp and offensive coordinator Brent Pease will take extra measures to make sure he doesn't do the same to quarterback Jeff Driskel on Saturday.

When South Carolina travels to Florida this Saturday for a matchup of Top 10 SEC East teams, you can be sure Florida will pay extra attention to the whereabouts of Gamecock defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. Gators head coach Will Muschamp spoke highly of Clowney when talking to reporters this week.

“He's just a really good football player," Muschamp told the Gainesville Sun. "He's got great length, and he's got great flexibility in his lower body so he can change direction and bend the edge and flip his hips in the rush."

Clowney leads the South Carolina defense with 6.5 sacks on the season. The Gamecock defensive line has 26 sacks total. The unit as a whole, and Clowney in particular, will present huge challenges as Florida tries to protect sophomore quarterback Jeff Driskel.

“You need to account for him, he can ruin your day,” Muschamp said. “You have to be able to account for him in the rush.”
