LSU with a big lead at the Half

Stay connected for news and updates

Top Ranked LSU has shown no mercy on the Gators decimated QB situation as they raced to a 24-0 lead and hold a 24-3 lead at the half.

LSU tailback Spencer Ware has pounded the Florida defense to the tune of 64 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns.

Tigers starting QB Jarrett Lee has only attempted four passes, completing one for a touchdown.

Florida third string QB Jacoby Brissett, forced into action due to injuries to starting QB John Brantley and backup Jeff Driskell, has struggled to move the Gators offense against the Tigers’ elite defense.

Florida has limited Brissett’s opportunities, having him alternate with slash QB Trey Burton. The Gators have tried to focus on running the football, keeping on the ground for 23 attempts.

LSU has 211 yards of total offense to Florida’s 120.

Brissett has the games only turnover, overthrowing a pass that was intercepted by Brandon Taylor.
