Tennessee Vs. Florida Final Score: Gators Home Win Streak Snapped In 75-70 Loss

The Florida Gators welcomed in the Tennessee Volunteers hoping to rebound from the beating they took from Kentucky and to extend their 19-game home winning streak, but weren't able to keep up with the Vols offense. At halftime the Gators trailed 41-30 as they were getting out shot and out rebounded by Tennessee. In the second half it wasn't much different as Jeronne Maymon and Trae Golden led the way for the Volunteers offensively as they finished the day with 15 and 17 points respectively. Maymon picked up a double-double bringing down 11 rebounds while Golden also picked up seven assists.

The Gators made a late rally to pull within five points, but it was just too little too late to overcome the big lead Tennessee had built. Kenny Boynton and Bradley Beal finally got going for the Gators in the second half, as they both ended the day with 16 points. Erik Murphy was also able to pick up 12 points in the loss, but in the end Florida just couldn't come back from the hole they dug, going down 75-70.

This marks Florida's first back-to-back losses since losses to Mississippi State SEC tournament and BYU in the NCAA tournament at the end of the 2009-2010 season.

Tennessee Vs. Florida Score Update: Gators Getting Tramped At Halftime, 41-30

The Florida Gators are coming off a 78-58 blowout loss to the Kentucky Wildcats and were looking to get some revenge on the Tennessee Volunteers, who the Gators lost to on the road. At halftime at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center, it looks like the Gators could be on the receiving end of another beat down if they can't go on a run in the second half. The Vols currently lead Florida 41-30 as Jordan McRae picked up 10 points off the bench and Skylar McBee added another 9 points.

For the Gators, they've turned the ball over nine times and are being out rebounded 15-10 so far in the game. Bradley Beal leads the Gators in scoring with nine points and five rebounds while Kenny Boynton has put up seven points. The Gators are going to need to start grabbing some rebounds and contesting the Vols shot attempts if they want to get back into the game.
